some say it's smarter to stay detached from others to keep one's feeling in check why? so i can spend the rest of my life being scared i'll get hurt like some cold hearted bastards i know? no experience trumps safety any day for it is better to wear your heart on your sleeve than to not possess one at all so you go ahead and feel adventurous going white water rafting and country hopping i'm surprised the weight of your armour doesn't sink your boat or flatten your tires go ahead masquerading and socializing every night of the week yes your the life of the party you make everyone laugh but i know you i know you're hiding behind all the jokes and forced smiles relating more to your cigarettes than the people around you and you say i'm the shy one, i'm the scared one your heart breaks just as easily as mine easier in fact, since it's had no practice at feeling anything go ahead and keep your feeling buried deep down inside until your heart is so desperate to feel something, anything it attacks so shocked at the magnitude of its power to feel experiencing shortness of breathe? a sense of impending doom? any pains in that hollow chest of yours? oh well, break my heart you actually do have feelings but it's too late now your heart was cold and felt nothing now it's dead and pumps nothing no blood, no essence of life you killed yourself trying so hard to not be human, to feel nothing trying so hard to believe people have no physiological need for other people's affections well you're wrong, dead wrong
